And of course, her bosom is major fanservice, as usual. I also really loved the pose, I believe it was also in the anime when her clothes started disintegrating and this pose just highlights her curves in a womanly and elegant way without being overly lewd. In that one, she’s just smiling and happy – and I think this G&G Boa Hancock fits the character much better given that she was in battle during this particular appearance. I quite disliked the Portrait of Pirates version of this figure, significantly because of the expression. Another aspect I really love is the expression of this figure – fierce, bold, confident. The height is one of the things I love about this figure, she would fit perfectly with any of the King Of Artist or Master Stars Piece figures. The right shoe heel has a hole in it to fit into the base and the heels just fit in the squares of the base.Īnd when fixed, she stands at a pretty tall height of 25cm. Do hold her carefully though when fitting the upper torso into the bottom half because her hair ends are quite brittle and you may end up snapping some if you are not careful. Again, not much rocket science needed to fit the parts together. The figure comes in 3 separate pieces – the upper torso, the bottom half and the base. And of course images of the beautiful Hancock figure over all sides. But the box is really pretty, there are floral motifs over the top flap and lining the bottom of the box, for a more girly effect. It was unfortunately dented in places on arrival, but it’s secondhand so I can’t say much. So anyway, I will start off the review with the box. This figure is really popular, it has been re-released in multiple colours at least twice, but I had only wanted the original purple colour since that was the one she appeared in in the series. She was quite difficult to find in my local stores (high demand, perhaps?) but I was finally lucky when someone put her up for secondhand price on an online group and I snagged it quick. This Boa Hancock figure was released in 2016, I only started collecting One Piece figures in July this year so I was late to get her. Of all the female characters featured so far, I think the Boa Hancock and Vivi ones are real good, which is why they are the only ones I have decided to obtain so far. The Glitter & Glamours figure series have been quite popular since their release – they now have featured Boa Hancock, Nami, Nico Robin, Jewelry Bonney – and we currently have new additions of Nefertari Vivi (I have preordered Vivi from my local figure dealer and am currently waiting up in excitement because she looks real fantastic) and Shirahoshi (due for release in Japan January 2018). I’m not sure why it’s labelled Crash Style – anyone who knows is more than welcome to drop a comment or message. This is my second One Piece figure review, and it is of the Glitter & Glamours series by Banpresto featuring the pirate empress Boa Hancock.
